You Matter
As the days, weeks and almost months go by during this pandemic, I think this topic isn’t talked about nearly as much as it should be.
>YOU MATTER<
Some times we get so caught up in our lives and what we are doing or, in some cases, not doing right now, we forget to think about people that don’t have what we have. People are hurting right now. People are alone. Alone like they never have been before. Day after day of social distancing and the world being on a stand still, people are so very lonely. Our day to day lives have been significantly altered like never before. We are all feeling an impact from this in one way or another.
Our God is a loving, forgiving, merciful and gracious God. One fact I am certain about Him is that He never has and never will make a mistake. You were undeniably created for a purpose. No matter what your age is or what stage you are at in your life- He has predestined your steps for you. You are the only one who can take those steps with Him. He will not force you. The amazing part about our God, even though He doesn’t force us to follow Him, He always provides us a way out from our troubles. His path may seem far away, but He will guide you to it.
We all have done something to fall short or have done something that we’re ashamed of. A lot of times, that very thought is what keeps people away from Him. He already knows, and He’s already forgiven. Your mind and emotions are not always on your side. A lot of times, they are wrong. They don’t always line up with God’s truth about us. The enemy uses this to pull us further from God. You are good enough. The things we do don’t surprise Him- we surprise ourselves. We don’t want to believe that we are capable of things that God does not approve of. Well, we are capable of them. But the good news is that we are also capable of doing incredible things for God. And God can do incredible things though us. We have a choice of how we are going to handle situations. With God, or without God.
Right now, people need to know that they matter, that they are missed and that they are important. Who has God put on your heart today to reach out to? Get in touch with them. It could save their life.
