One Day At A Time

So often we allow ourselves to think too far ahead that we cause ourselves to worry. Our faith takes a back seat and we get in to deep thoughts that ultimately make the situation worse.

When we worry, we are actually taking God’s job away. (Matthew 6:25-34). He wants us to live a life that is full of joy, peace and happiness. But in order to do that, we need to let God in to every part of our lives. Especially the ones that are hurting us. He loves us so much that He wants to take that pain away. ( 1 Peter 5:7). Faith comes when we pray for God to help us with a difficult situation, and we leave it at His feet…wholeheartedly. Because of our human nature, we face the problem of always wanting to go and pick it back up thinking that we need to take care of it instead of leaving it to Him. Sometimes we may think that God is taking too long, or He forgot. Whatever the excuse we make in our minds, God knows best. He has perfect timing and He will NEVER forget about us.

When we try to fix our own problems, we actually make them bigger. Eventually, it trickles down to where we’ve made a seemingly small problem in to an overwhelming issue that consumes us. This causes a great deal of selfishness. When we’re too worried and too focused on our selves, we will more than likely miss what God is trying to show us. As hard as it may seem, we need to leave our burdens and our problems at Jesus’ feet. He will pick them up so that we can move forward and help those around us.

We need to choose to have faith that God will work out our issues for our good. He is good and does not want us to be hurt.

“Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.’ Matthew 11:28-30.

No matter where you are He is with you.

One day at a time.
