Do It Afraid
There are so many opportunities that we allow to pass us by because of fear. Fear can prevent us from achieving so many goals that are set up in front of us. The fear of rejection, the fear of failure, the fear of looking bad, and so on. There are so many things that we can be afraid of. But there are so many of these things that we can do afraid, with the power God gives us.
When you do something that gives you that pit in your stomach, or that shake in your hands, you actually become more courageous when you’ve accomplished it. God wants us to be bold, lean on Him and trust that no matter what we face, we face it with Him.
‘For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.”
2 Timothy 1:7
Once we realize that God is with us where ever we go, the fear lessens. There is not one thing that could stop us from what God has in store for us if we put our focus on Him. Fears come and go. The accomplishment comes when we stand up and face what is ahead. When we stand firm and walk forward. When we do it afraid. Because God never leaves us. Not in the bad times, not in the storm, not in the darkness and especially not when we are afraid. God is always there.
‘Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me,
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.’ Psalm 23:4.
Being afraid doesn’t make you weak unless you give it power over you. Being afraid can give you power when you let it give you strength. Strength to overcome the obstacle. Become stronger, and to grow your faith and trust in God.
‘I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.’ Philippians 4:13
He is with you. Always.
