In The Middle
We all go through the middle and the middle is normally the hardest. Sometimes, this is where we give up. The middle is where we need the most encouragement and the most hope to keep going no matter what the situation may be. The middle is tough but we can be assured over and over again that God will never leave us.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
Now, this Scripture is talking about how Moses was no longer able to lead the Israelites and that they should trust God will take care of them. What does this have to do with us? EVERYTHING! God has said that He NEVER changes (Malachi 3:6). So, if He would never leave nor forsake the Israelites, then why would He ever leave us? He won’t…ever! We are all His children, not one better than the other.
“For God does not show favoritism.” Romans 2:11
The absolute best decision we can make when we are going through the middle is to trust God and to persevere. Yes…this can be extremely difficult…but the amount of strength we have gained in the end is priceless and no one can take that from us. (Romans 5:3-5). A middle always leads to an end. It’s easy to quit when a trial gets too difficult but once we cross the finish line we can see how much we really are able to endure because of God being with us the whole entire time. And if we trip, God will always catch us because He loves each and every one of us.
‘For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, NOR ANYTHING ELSE IN ALL CREATION, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.’ Romans 8:38-39.
Romans is an amazing book in the Bible that shows many of Paul’s lessons and how much he was able to persevere through his hardships by trusting in God…even in situations that we can’t imagine.
So, if God was there for Paul, why wouldn’t He be right here next to us also?
He is with you, with me, and with anyone else who puts their trust in Him as well as open their heart to Him. You are loved, you are important, and you were made for a beautiful purpose. Nothing can separate us from Him, His love never fails.
