Keeping the Faith.
Faith. Believing in something that is not seen. We can do some amazing things through faith. Our eyes tend to show us things in a warped sense of reality. Some times people only see what they want to see and miss the whole picture. We can get tunnel vision and totally fly past the promptings and signs that are the most important. Having faith is one of the most fruitful attributes that we can possess. It shows trust in God. It’s believing that He has a good path for us but not always knowing where we are walking or what lies ahead. Complete faith in God is peaceful. We just know that God has our back. Life seems to just run smoothly. Faith is the strength of letting go of problems and circumstances that we just cannot control that are giving us stress. Stress is the opposite of faith. Faith says, “God, I’m giving this to you because it is out of my hands!”, stress worries and lingers and causes fear. Faith is a strong weapon against the enemy. Faith gives you power to stop satan where he is and put him back in his place- beneath you. Faith tramples over doubt and double-mindedness. We can encourage each other through faith. We can clothe ourselves with it so that God’s light shines through us.
“Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message and the message is heard through the word of Christ.” Romans 10:17
Faith is shown and spoken of all through out the Bible. It’s what got our brothers and sisters through some of the hardest times. It’s what we use when we feel defeated. Faith also restores us. Courage is also enabled when we have faith and faith puts our trust back towards God and away from other people. God will never let us down; we can put 100% faith in that. He will always be there when we need Him. He never leaves us and will always guide us.
“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. 14 Do everything in Love.” 1 Corinthians 16:13-14
Stand firm in your faith. Do not let the arrows from the enemy pierce the truth you have heard. Stress, doubt, fear and double-minding do not come from God. Peace, hope, joy, love and faith are from our Father. And He has plenty to give.
Faith is the foundation of our trust an hope in God.
“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.’ Hebrews 11:1
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards anyone who earnestly seeks him.” Hebrews 11:6
Faith sees God’s hand in everything. Notices Him through out the day. Trusts Him. Seeks His goodness.
“We live by faith not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7
